Interviewed this Monday, February 21, 2022, by Al Jazeera.net, Ennahdha leader addressed the exceptional measures of July 25 the will of President Kais Saied, in his attempt to dissolve Ennahda and to track down its leaders, according to him.
Rached Ghannouchi described the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, as “a symbol of the failure of the Tunisian experience”, adding that “the President of the Republic and his decisions symbolize total failure” and believed that “Kais Saied did not uphold his oath or the Constitution as he failed to cease the economic and social crisis which Tunisia is suffering”. “Kais Saied has likewise failed to create a government capable of handling the country’s affairs, and to deliver a budget that ensures a minimum level of economic and financial security for Tunisians (…)”.
The leader of the Ennahda movement goes further by claiming that “Kais Saied has failed to present a good picture of Tunisia abroad, which has strengthened its isolation on the international scene”… A first in the history of Tunisia, he told. This situation has led to “a bankrupt state, failing in its obligations, such as paying wages on time and delivering the basic materials that every Tunisian family needs on a daily basis”, he added.
The leader of Ennahdha even went so far as to say that “the people will get rid of Kais Saied, as he got rid of the dictators who preceded him”, emphasising that “Saied has no career or political experience” …
