Ennahdha leader Rached Ghannouchi published a post on his official page where he prayed for the citizens of Kairouan who has seen for many days a very powerful spread of the COVID-19.
The post has stirred the wrath and irony of Internet users. Some people have felt that Ghannouchi, and the political class in general, are the root of what is occurring in Kairouan now, emphasising that it is intolerable that the house speaker is content to just pray.
