Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) and Ennahdha party leader Rached Ghannouchi cordially welcomed Taha Ayhan , President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) at Bardo palace.
During the official meeting, Ayhan briefed Ghannouchi on the forum‘s specific details and numerous activities intended at informing, mentoring and connecting young people in various perspectives of political, economic and cultural life.
He further put the spotlight on the significant role faithfully executed by the forum in assisting young people together around the world by progressively expanding and enhancing collective activities.
Taha Ayhan evaluated the fundamental beliefs on which this forum is based upon, in particular, those linked to faithfully upholding the practical values of solidarity and tolerance among young people and encouraging the rapprochement and dialogue of civilizations, emphasising the attention devoted by ICYF to historical monuments.
On his part, Rached Ghannouchi highlighted Tunisia’s active engagement in youth and its constant endeavours to recognise their demands and interests and to counter to their grand ambitions.
Moreover, he recollected Tunisia’s civilisational heritage and its historical and cultural memorials that demand more care, given its significance in properly establishing its profoundly rooted Arab and Islamic identity.
