President Kais Saied firmly rejected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan request to use the Tunisian territory to enter Libya, affirmed Media advisor to the Tunisian presidency Rachida Ennaifer.
Ennaifer told Sky News that Erdogan had inquired the use of Tunisia airspace and maritime area for military intervention in Libya, However his demand was met by a steadfast refusal from the head of the state.
She exclaimed that Erdogan comment on smelling smoke wasn’t out of the blue, on the contrary, it reflected Erdogan’s discontent with the outcome of the discussions, which emerged after the refusal to use Tunisian for any military intervention to Libya.
