Tunisia – Saïed receives Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources

President of the Republic, Kais Saied, welcomed, on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Carthage Palace  Mr. Bandar Al-Kharif, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who was accompanied, by Mr Saad Al-Khalab, CEO of the Saudi Export-Import Bank, and Mr. Hassan Al-Huwaizi, Chairman of the Council of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and Mr. Omar Al-Ajaji, president of the Saudi side of the Tunisian-Saudi Business Council.

During this meeting, the President of the Republic hailed the depth of the ties of fraternity and solidarity that have existed between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia since before and after the independence of our country, reaffirming the solid determination to continue to work together with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, to additionally strengthen and diversify these strong ties, in different areas for the good of the Tunisian and Saudi people and their common interest.

The President of the Republic likewise stressed Tunisia’s concern to secure a healthy and appropriate climate to encourage businessmen and investors to invest in our country and to establish partnerships and exchange relations with their Tunisian counterparts in several promising sectors such as renewable energies, water desalination, and health. The pharmaceutical industries, and to explain all the reasons for the success of this cooperation in all areas.

For his part, the Saudi minister conveyed to the President of the Republic the greetings of His Holiness the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, remarking that the intense and high-level participation of representatives of official structures and the sector of Saudi Affairs in the joint commission whose work is taking place in Tunisia, mirrors the significant concern of the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Saudi leaders, to give a stronger impetus to bilateral cooperation in sectors of common interest.

He also voiced the determination of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to launch new projects and to motivate businessmen and investors to strengthen their presence in Tunisia in light of the reforms that our country is undergoing which would restore confidence in its investment environment.
