According to Zaida Doghri President of Tunisian Fencing Federation , épée fencer Sarra Besbes clinched glory for Tunisia by claiming a gold medal at the African Fencing Championships in the capital of Mali Bamako.
While Mohamed Ayoub Ferjani and Ayoub Smadi obtained the Bronze Medal. The two latter were defeated by Egyptian fencer Hamza Mohammed and Alaaeldin Abouelkassem.
