Tunisia- Seizure of drugs intended to be smuggled into Libya

Tunisian customs spokesman Haithem Zinad declared, in a statement that during the first 10 months of this year, approximately 382.5 tonnes of food products and 436,572 loaned items were seized by Tunisian customs.

He added that these quantities will be moved to the Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity, which will, in turn, disseminate them to families in need.

Zinad reported that 84,888 packets of drugs, intended to be smuggled into Libya and other African countries, were seized, emphasising that this quantity will be handed over to the central pharmacy which will make the required decisions about it
