Security units and the National Guard, in coordination with the regional trade directorates of many governorates, seized more than 76 tons of semolina and flour.
According to a press release issued on Friday, the Ministry of the Interior explained that this control campaign is part of the war against the phenomenon of monopoly and speculation.
Below are the details of seizures in many governorates:
- Sfax: seizure of 32 tons of semolina
- Kairouan: 12 tons of semolina
- Sidi Bouzid: 11 tons of semolina
- Ben Arous: 6 tonnes of subsidized flour
- Beja: 3 tons of semolina
- Tataouine: 1.6 tonnes of subsidized flour
- Gabes: 200 kg of subsidized flour
Minutes were recorded and inquiries have been opened by the authorities involved, specifies the Ministry of the Interior.
