Tunisia-Semi Fehri sentenced to 8 years in prison

The criminal chamber specializing in financial corruption cases convicted owner of El Hiwar Ettounsi Sami Fehri and Belhassen Trabelsi, ex-son-in-law of former president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, to eight and ten years in jail respectively.

The two people were together fined 40 million dinars in relationship with the advertising contracts signed between Cactus Prod and national television.

The court, nevertheless, ruled that Abdelwaheb Abdallah and five former directors-generals of the National Television Establishment were dismissed in accordance with the law on administrative reconciliation.
