The Regional Director of Health at Sfax Hatem Bechikh told Tunisie Numérique that 22 patients with seasonal flu were admitted to emergency services last Friday, December 16, 2022.
“We are at the beginning of the seasonal flu wave and until then, the situation is under control,” he said calling on citizens to respect the measures required to protect themselves against flu, including masks and vaccination Particularly for the elderly and pregnant women.
After coordination with the Minister of Health and the Governor of Sfax, Bechikh stated that it was decided to increase the capacity at the military hospital of campaign if necessary.
