Officers from the Sfax National Guard Public Security District apprehended two people after they were intercepted by traffic units while transporting a group of sub-Saharan African nationals to Sfax, as reported by the General Directorate of the National Guard.
In a related context, search units from the Mahres National Guard district successfully seized a truck carrying 15 people of sub-Saharan nationalities. The individuals were about to travel from Gafsa to Sfax to partake in clandestine maritime border crossings.
The public prosecutor has authorized the required legal measures to be taken against them.
