An altercation among irregular migrants from sub-Saharan African countries happened on Monday evening, December 18, 2023, resulting in one fatality and two people sustaining serious wounds. The public prosecutor and official spokesperson for the Court of First Instance in Sfax 1 instance confirmed the incident.
The dispute took place on Mahdia Road at Km 10, and the specific causes of the altercation are not yet known. The deceased individual’s body was moved to the forensic medicine department of the Habib Bourguiba University Hospital in Sfax, while the injured were transported in critical condition to the hospital for medical care.
The public prosecutor’s office at the Court of First Instance of Sfax 1 has initiated an inquiry to ascertain the circumstances and motives behind this crime.
