Spokesperson for Sfax 1 first instance court Faouzi Masmoudi declared on Monday, August 7, 2023, that the Kerkenah maritime guard rescued two people and retrieved eleven bodies of sub-Saharan migrants after the sinking of a boat.
Masmoudi added that 44 people among the passengers of the boat are still missing. He told the TAP that judicial information has been opened to begin the procedures to identify the victims.
