Société Générale has announced the signing of two agreements with the Vista Group, involving the complete sale of the group’s shares in its local African subsidiaries, Société Générale Burkina Faso and Banco Société Générale Moçambique. Société Générale currently holds 52.6% and 65% of these subsidiaries, respectively. As part of the agreements, the Vista Group will acquire all activities, customer portfolios, and employees of these subsidiaries. The completion of these transactions, expected in 2024, is contingent on approval from the entities’ governance bodies, standard conditions precedent, and validation from relevant financial and regulatory authorities.
