The Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company “STEG” called on customers linked to the low voltage network, in the category of homeowners, to profit from payment facilities to pay their debts, this privilege ending at the end of the year.
In a press release issued today, Friday November 10, 2023, the company urged customers in this category to make the verbal request for instalments and to benefit from the payment of 30 percent of the debt in the form of the first payment and spread the remaining amount over 6 invoices, at most.
The company confirmed that more information can be acquired by contacting the district or local agency, remarking that the company’s outstanding debts to all its customers amount to 3.199 million dinars as of the end of April 2023.
These cumulative debts are equal to approximately 44% of the turnover of the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company, which amounts to 7.275 million dinars.
