President of the Republic Kais Saied chaired, this Monday a ceremony on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the creation of this body at the barracks of the National Guard of El Aouina.
The ceremony took place in the attendance of the Head of the Interior Cabinet and the Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard in addition to senior security officials. The head of state emphasised the fact that he would like to partake in the celebration of this event as a sign of gratitude to this body that has made heroic and historic achievements.
The intervention of the National Guard went beyond the security aspect to reach other areas. The President of the Republic confirmed that the members of the National Guard are a root of pride for all Tunisians.
Kais Saïed announced, on this occasion, that a structure will be set up to take care of the martyrs and the wounded of the security corps. The martyrs and the wounded will have complete pay thanks to this structure and their progress in ranks will be guaranteed posthumously as if they were in office.
