Tunisia – Students transported to Pasteur Institute after being bitten by dog inside their middle school

Civil Protection agents in Manouba treated, this Wednesday morning, four pupils from the Douar Hicher Youth Middle school, and transported them to the Pasteur Institute, after they were bitten by a stray dog, according to the Regional Civil Protection.

The students, aged 12 to 13, were shocked by a dog which entered the school, which attacked and then bit them, in a climate of anxiety and panic among their classmates. The middle school management informed the civil protection agents who came to the scene to rescue and transport the injured to carry out the necessary examinations.

The incident comes amid great dissatisfaction among citizens over the phenomenon of stray dogs, and the inability to radically tackle all the problems caused by their growth and accumulation, including garbage and dirt. , which made it remarkably easy to spread into residential neighbourhoods, which started to raise the level of concern among residents, particularly in the face of continued warnings about the possibility of them being infected with rabies.
