An unidentified body, likely to be that of an irregular immigrant from sub-Saharan Africa, was discovered Wednesday evening, February 21, 2024, in the delegation of Tajerouine, in Kef.
The deputy attorney general at the Kef Court of First Instance and official spokesperson, Yousri Al-Hawami, stated that the body was not identified and did not carry any papers. The public prosecutor authorized its presentation for the autopsy and its examination by a DNA sample to determine the identity of the body and entrusted the Tajarouine Judicial Police Division with the opening of a report on the suspicious death.
