A tragedy unfolded in the region of El Brij, in Kasserine after a 41-year-old woman was apprehended and charged with the murder of her 35-year-old sister-in-law on the night of Sunday, November 5 , 2023.
According to local authorities, the suspect confessed to having intentionally set fire to the victim, thus causing her death, following a violent altercation. Investigators confirmed these statements following findings at the crime scene.
The deputy prosecutor announced that the body of the deceased would be subjected to an autopsy by forensic experts. In addition, an inquiry was opened by the police to elucidate the exact circumstances of this tragic incident.
