Tunisia-Tunisia acquires Turkish drones

Turkish media have reported that the Tunisian Defense Ministry has signed an arms agreement with Turkish company Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) for the procurement of three Anka-S type drones and three ground control centres.

The contract, estimated at $ 80 million, includes the training of 52 elements of the Tunisian Air Force.

According to the same sources, discussions between the two sides began two years ago and were settled within the past week.

The Anka-S is an armed drone that entered service with the Turkish Air Force in 2018 and was first used in combat during Operation Spring Shield in Syria.
