Tunisia-Tunisia holds its place in Central African Republic: Kais Saied extends mission of helicopter unit

In a recent decree published in the Official Journal (JORT) on Tuesday, December 26, the Head of State, Kais Saied, has officially expanded the operations of the Tunisian helicopter unit in the Central African Republic. The extension, effective since December 21, 2023, is fixed to last for an additional year.

The decree stresses that the Tunisian helicopter unit is actively engaged in assisting in the multidimensional integrated mission of the United Nations for stabilization and security in the Central African Republic (Minusca). Minusca operates under the flag of the United Nations.

It is worth noting that the deployment of the Light Rapid Intervention Company (LQRF) in the Central African Republic obtained approval from the Carthage Palace in June 2021.
