The Deputy Head of Mission of the European Union Delegation in Tunisia, Francisco Acosta Soto, confirmed the issuance of a recommendation prohibiting Tunisians from entering European territory. The reason for this decision is the high number of contaminations and deaths due to Covid-19.
The official assured that until then, it remains a recommendation and not a decision, and the countries of the European Union are free to choose to interact with this recommendation or not.
In a related context, Francisco Acosta Soto added to Shems FM that the European Union will send the text of this recommendation to the Tunisian state along with an explanatory document.
