Tunisia-U.S. embassy issues advisory to its national over coronavirus

The U.S embassy in Tunisia issued a message to its nationals over coronavirus. The instruction read as following :

Tunisia Entry and Exit Requirements:

  • As of March 20, the Government of Tunisia temporarily suspended all incoming and outgoing commercial flights to Tunisia.
  • For travel and repatriation assistance, U.S. citizens should email [email protected] with the following information:
  1. Full name as it appears on your passport
  2. Date of birth
  3. Passport number
  4. Date of passport issuance and expiration
  5. Email address and contact phone number

U.S. citizens in Tunisia should:

  • Monitor the Embassy’s website for the most up-to-date information.
  • Enrol in STEP at STEP.state.gov to receive the latest updates from the Embassy.
  • Follow the advice of the CDC and local health authorities that you can find at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
  • Check with your airlines regarding any updated information about your travel plans and/or restrictions.
  • Monitor the Department of State’s COVID-19 website at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/covid-19-information.html
