Secretary-general of the tunisian general labour union (ugtt) noureddine tabboubi announced saturday in kerkennah the postponement of all protest movements, strikes, conferences and meetings, in view of the difficult situation the country is going through and which requires, according to him, solidarity and national unity.in his address on the occasion of the commemoration of the 21st anniversary of the death of national trade unionist leader habib achour, tabboubi called on all tunisians to be supportive and vigilant until the containment of covid-19 pandemic, with which 16 tunisians are currently infected.in this regard, he recalled the national role played by the trade union organisation in all difficult circumstances, pointing out that the ugtt has always been at the service of the national interest.tabboubi commended the efforts exerted by the medical and paramedical profession, which is placed in the front line to guarantee the health and safety of tunisians.
