Tunisia: Upcoming announcement of judgment in lobbying case involving Ghannouchi and Bouchleka

The 6th criminal chamber specializing in financial corruption cases at the Tunis Court of First Instance has decided to reserve the case to pronounce its verdict on February 1. This decision involves the case brought against Rached Ghannouchi, president of the Ennahdha movement, and his son-in-law Rafik Bouchleka, known as the “lobbying” case.

The file investigates charges against the Ennahdha movement for accepting direct funding from a foreign entity and partaking in this act. The inquiries in this case concern Rached Ghannouchi, as legal representative of the movement, and her son-in-law Rafik Bouchleka, responsible for the movement’s external relations, according to the documents in the case.
