Mahjoub Al Abidi, a retiree from Tunisian Chemical Group Gafsa – GCT affirmed the possibility to create 30.000 jobs without resorting to Borrowing or debiting.
Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, he pointed out that e are four wells rigs under by Gafsa Phosphate Company, including a broken excavator, which an association can offer to repair and use to dig 100 wells under the direction of the Ministry of Agriculture, each well for the benefit of 50 farmers, which will provide 5,000 direct jobs and thousands of indirect job opportunities.
Our speaker further disclosed that water resources from the wells can be employed for large crops, planting, trees, livestock farming husbandry, and different agricultural activities.
Moreover, Enormous amounts of ‘junk ‘ coming from the Gafsa Phosphates Company, the chemical complex and the railway company, valued at millions of dinars, can be utilised to set several factories in multiple fields that which can provide thousands of jobs, Mr Al Abibi told Tunisie Numérique.
He urged the government to provide the needed abilities for the region to be capable to create employment possibilities.
He finally highlighted that their most prominent request from the state is to establish a hospital.
