Construction workers under the age of 45 today carried a demonstration in front of the headquarters of the Regional Labor Union in Medenine, to call for respect for the deals concluded between the regional authorities and the trade union party.
Protesters told the two sides had agreed to regularize the situation of 786 workers, however, only 165 were settled.
According to Tunisie Numérique correspondent in the region, the demonstrators decided to bar the road in front of the union’s headquarters, following a conflict with a member of the Regional Union who felt that the latter had chosen the wrong place for their protest.
