The United States reported 180,083 new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, data from Johns Hopkins University announced on Wednesday. The tally hence stands at 13,721,304.
During the same period, the number of COVID fatalities more than doubled compared to the previous day, as 2,597 deaths attributed to the virus were recorded by US health officials.
