WHO: Nowhere is safe in G-a-z-a

The World Health Organization (WHO) raised alarms over the renewed conflict in Gaza, voicing “grave concern” for civilians’ safety.

The WHO stressed that “nowhere is safe” for the residents of Gaza, condemning the heavy bombardment of the southern part of the enclave. “We have seen what happened in northern Gaza. This cannot be the blueprint for the South,” the organization stressed.

The WHO went on to urge Israel to adhere to the laws of war, safeguarding civilians and vital infrastructure, including hospitals. It noted that the recent evacuations in southern Gaza left the population in smaller areas more vulnerable.
