Yennayer, Amazigh New Year, celebrated for the first time in Morocco

Splendid ceremonies were organized yesterday, Sunday, January 14, for the first time in Morocco to mark, Yennayer, the Amazigh new year 2974.

This year, January 14 will be a paid holiday throughout the country on the occasion of the Amazigh New Year festivities.

According to The New Arab, they are most numerous in Morocco, with about 70% of the population claiming Amazigh origins.
