Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged on Tuesday the European Union in his address to the European Parliament to “prove you are with us,” that “you will not let us go,” and that “you are indeed Europeans and then life will win over death.”
“My citizens are paying the ultimate price to defend freedom. […] Today, we are giving away our people to defend our values,” he remarked. Speaking about the possibility of Ukraine joining the bloc, Zelensky said that “The EU is going to be much stronger with us, that is for sure. Without you, Ukraine is going to be lonesome.”
