Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed on Friday that establishing a no-fly zone over Ukrainian territory is the only way to ensure Russia will not bomb nuclear power plants. The Zaporozhskaya nuclear plant, the largest in Europe, was shelled overnight, causing a fire.
In his daily address, Zelensky also claimed Russia is deliberately targeting infrastructure and residential areas, as cities including Mariupol, Kherson, Kharkiv and Chernihiv came under attack. He said 9,200 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine so far, although his claims have so far not been confirmed.
