Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray received, on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador in Tunis Mohamed Ben Mahmud el-Ali.
The meeting focused on “the two countries’ efforts to further boost the excellent bilateral cooperation relations in all fields, and on the preparations for the next bilateral events,” a Foreign Ministry press release said.
Erray pointed out the need to strengthening economic cooperation between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia by encouraging Saudi businessmen to invest in Tunisia, while making the most of the preferential advantages offered by both countries to increase trade.
For his part, the Saudi ambassador underlined “the depth of the fraternal and cooperation relations binding the two peoples, affirming his country’s willingness to give a new impetus to bilateral relations, in conformity with the willingness of the two countries’ leaders to further foster them in all fields.
The two officials also discussed several issues related to joint Arab action and the latest developments at both the regional and international levels, the same source added.
