A security officer from the police response in Ben Arous was assailed in the line of his duty by Delinquents while raiding a suspected lair in Ez Zahra suburb, Shems FM reported.
A security source said that the officer was struck at the neck level by drinking Delinquents. While trying to separate and confront them they used sticks and blade weapons, leading to the officer injury.
They were arrested and an investigation was opened while the injured was transported to the hospital for treatment.
On his part, Interior minister Hichem Mechichi visit the officer house to inquire about his health.
