The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, welcomed this Monday, February 15, 2021, the president of the LTDH (Tunisian League for Human Rights), Jamel Msallem and Béchir Laâbidi, secretary-general of the League at Carthage presidential palace.
The meeting was an occasion for the Head of State to evoke the circumstances of the creation of the Tunisian League for Human Rights and the hindrances it has undergone since its establishing.
. The meeting further allowed to address a number of issues associated with human rights in general and recent social movements in particular. President Saïed pointed out that Tunisians are all equal before the courts.
