For the second year consecutive year, the Association for the Continuity of Generations is organizing the distribution of Ramadan baskets which include food products for the profit of poor families.
Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the president of the Association stated that these food parcels are being gathered thanks to donors of goodwill.
She pointed out that these aids will benefit 200 families registered with the Association.
According to the head of the Association, this year there are big parcels that will satisfy a whole family during the month of Ramadan.
Consequently, the first batch of 40 packages was distributed on Sunday, a second batch is programmed for the second half of the month of Ramadan and a third and last at the end, she added, remarking that the targeted families are distributed throughout Sfax.
She added that Ivorian migrants are among the beneficiaries of this assistance, indicating that 20 parcels will be distributed in Kerkennah as well as in Graïba and Gargour.
The head of the Association for the Continuity of Generations declared that an association of Tunisians living in France will join their action by donating 5 euros for a bassinet which could increase the number of packages to exceed 200.
