Speaking to Tunisie Numérique,MP Mabrouk Korchid expressed his worry at the current political situation, particularly after the decision of President Kais Saied to extend the exceptional measures taken on July 25, 2021.
Mabrouk Korchid further criticized the Presidency of the Republic for the lack of clarity in connection to the next step. The decision to extend the measures that were taken on July 25, 2021 until further notice, is evidence that the Head of State does not plan to bring back “parliamentary democracy”, he said.
He called on Kais Saied to enlighten public opinion on his program for the following step, hoping that the press release to be released in the coming days will live up to Tunisians’ expectations.
