Democratic current MP Hichem Ajbouni has announced that the downgrade of Tunisia’s sovereign rating by Moody’s agency will have dreadful outcomes. Tunisia is now regarded as a country incapable of paying these debts.
This means that it is difficult for Tunisia to turn to the global financial market to borrow and that “the road is paved for the Paris Club,” said the politician.
Foreign suppliers will now demand to be paid up front, he added, maintaining that the Lebanese scenario appears to be fast approaching.
