The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, met on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Brussels, with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdelfattah Al Sissi.
According to a press release published by the Presidency of the Republic on February 18, 2022, the two Heads of State voiced their attachment to the relationship of brotherhood and collaboration uniting the two nations. They renewed their intent to continue and strengthen its ties.
The interview likewise concentrated on other regional issues and on the themes that will be examined during the European Union – African Union Summit which will take place in Brussels from February 17 to 18, 2022.
