Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit stated he completely supports South Africa’s case against Israel at the International Court of Justice for committing genocide and violating the 1948 agreement: Convention for the Prevention of the Crime of genocide, as reported by the TAP agency.
Aboul Gheit added in his statements on Wednesday that he looked forward to a just decision that would put an ending to this war of aggression and haemorrhaging of Palestinian blood.
He thanked South Africa and its government for having adopted this position of principle which puts morality and human values above all other considerations, emphasising that the General Secretariat of the League supports by all possible means the South African effort, according to the same source.
