Borrell: All at G20 in favor of two-state solution

European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell stated on Thursday that the consensus among the G20 nations is that the Israel-Palestine crisis should be resolved with a two-state solution.

“Everybody here, everybody. I haven’t heard anyone against it. There was a strong request for a two-state solution,” Borrell told reporters in Brazil, where G20 foreign ministers are meeting this week. “It is consensus among us,” he emphasised and added that it will not be possible to ensure peace and “sustainable security” for Israel unless the Palestinian people “have a clear political prospect to build their own state.”
