At least two people died and five were wounded when an assailant stabbed people at many locations in Quebec City, local media reported.
The suspect, who was wearing medieval clothing at the time of the attacks, has been captured. “Shortly before 1 am, the SPVQ arrested a suspect. We still ask the citizens of Quebec City to stay inside with the doors locked because an investigation is still underway,” local law enforcement said.
Earlier, local police confirmed that there were “multiple victims” following an attack and asked people to stay away from Parliament Hill, where the incidents took place.
