China’s vice FM arrives in North Korea

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong (pictured) arrived in North Korea, state-run media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) announced on Friday.

KCNA added that the diplomat arrived in Pyongyang the day before through the border city of Sinuiju, but gave no further information on Sun’s schedule.

In December 2023, North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Pak Myong-ho paid a visit to Beijing, where he had a meeting with his Chinese counterpart. The two officials discussed bilateral cooperation between the countries.
