German Economy Minister Robert Habeck warned on Sunday that Europe could at on the verge of war, relating to tensions at the Russia-Ukraine border.
“We may be on the verge of war in Europe. It is absolutely oppressive and threatening,” Habeck said in an interview with broadcaster RTL/NTV on Sunday.
According to other reports, Berlin is waiting for Moscow to de-escalate tension ahead of the scheduled trip by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Russia on Tuesday.
