Having the United States testing Sanofi’s COVID-19 vaccine the first would be “unacceptable,” French Secretary of State for Economy and Finance Agnes Pannier-Runacher said on Thursday.

“For us, it would be unacceptable for there to be privileged access to such and such a country for financial reasons,” Pannier-Runacher told Radio Sud.

The French pharmaceutical company previously stated that the United States will have the right to the highest amount of advance orders of the vaccine Sanofi is currently working on.
