Global protests in support of Gaza

Thousands of people demonstrated across the world in support of the Palestinians and called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which is on the 29th day of the fighting between Israel and Hamas. Here is a recap of the situation in different Western countries:

United States: Thousands of people, largely young people and families, assembled in Washington to demand an immediate end to the siege of Gaza.

United Kingdom (London): Approximately 30,000 people took part in a rally in central London, demanding a ceasefire or an end to the slaughter in Gaza. Police apprehended 29 people for various offences, including inciting racial hatred.

France (Paris): Around 19,000 people marched in Paris, carrying many Palestinian flags and posters proclaiming “Free Palestine”. Similar protests took place across France.

Germany (Berlin): More than 3,500 people gathered at Alexanderplatz, in the centre of Berlin, with signs bearing messages such as “Save Gaza”, “Stop the genocide” or “Ceasefire”.
