During the first, the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) registered 38 cases of suicide and suicide attempts in the various governorates of the country.
Among these 38 cases, 28 cases of male suicides were recorded, or around 74% of cases.
Kairouan recorded 6 cases of suicide and suicide attempts, the most elevated rate in the country. By age group, in the first trimester, young people were most impacted by suicidal gestures with 16 cases.
