Ons Jabeur began her new season with a victory by defeating, this Monday, January 15, 2024, the Ukrainian Yulia Starodubtsewa in the first round of the Australian Open in two sets (6-3, 6-1).

In the second round, Jabeur will meet the winner of today’s duel between the Russian Mirra Andreeva (47th) and American Bernarda Pera (69th).

The Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tournament (2000 points) of the year, which started yesterday, runs until January 28.
