Police in Paris apprehended a man who was wielding a machete walking the streets in the eleventh arrondissement of the city, local media reported on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the police spokesman, the suspect was reported by the bystanders, and there have been no victims.
Reports by the local media suggested that the suspect tried to attack passers-by, after which he took refuge in a nearby hotel building.
