Qatar: No Gaza ceasefire deal, negotiations continue

The Qatari Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that there is currently no agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip but that negotiations are “intensifying in the month of Ramadan.” A ministry spokesperson insisted Qatar is operating toward a permanent ceasefire and not a short-term pause.

The ministry spokesperson also commented on the Western allies’ maritime corridor to bring aid into Gaza, stating that it “cannot replace land corridors.” Qatar continues to call for land corridors “for aid to enter Gaza without restrictions,” the spokesperson stated at a press conference, according to Al Jazeera.
